L'aura Kaláiki Bodmer is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and a Master Practitioner of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and of ancient Hawaiian Huna Healing techniques.  Her combination of powerful Hawaiian healing procedures and hypnotherapy has resulted in physical and spiritual transformations for her clients.  In addition to her private practice, L'aura gives Huna workshops across the country.  One of her workshops was at the second World Wellness Weekend, which featured such luminaries as Deepak Chopra, Robert Kennedy Jr., Martin Luther King III, and T. Harv Eker.

L'aura, who was born in Honolulu, began her spiritual journey by following her university degree with a degree from the New Mexico School of Therapeutics in Natural Therapeutics and Massage Therapy in 1982.  She was instructed in Lomilomi Nui, the sacred dance of body and light, through Aloha International and added that to her massage and therapeutic practice in 1992.  Thereafter, confident that she was meant to master the Hawaiian healing techniques practiced by her ancestors, she went on to study Huna, Huna Healing, and Ho'oponopono, an ancient problem-solving process restructured and reintroduced to modern day students by "the living treasure of Hawaii," Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona.  L'aura also studied Self I-dentity through Ho'oponopono with Charles Brown, LMT and Ihaleakala Hew Len, PhD.  Following her instruction, she spent two years assisting in workshops teaching the same subject.

L'aura's ongoing study, practice of and deep meditation on Ho'oponopono have led her to develop a process called Kala-kala.  Kala-kala allows negativities and fixations to be cleared from the subconscious mind.  She teaches this process to her clients and students and integrates it into her hypnotic techniques.

L'aura Kaláiki Bodmer lives with her husband Arnold in a Mike Reynolds-designed "Earthship" house located on six acres in the Manzano Mountains east of Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Except for their landline phone, they live completely "off the grid."  Their two now- grown children also experienced this unique way of being in the physical world.

The name Kaláiki was bestowed on L'aura by one of her Hawaiian teachers.  It means "the sun that guilds the mountainside."
